Description
About the tour
Discover the caves near Lake Bayano for an exciting journey in one of Panama’s most beautiful locations. Discover the local wildlife while kayaking on a subterranean river!
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Panama City and take you to Lake Bayano, which was created from a dam built in the 1970s to supply Panama City with hydroelectric power.
After an hour and a half of driving, you’ll arrive at the iconic Bayano Lake Bridge, from which you can get a commanding view of the surrounding natural scenery. From there we’ll go to an island in the reservoir to prepare for our trip inside the Bayano Caves.
As you enter the caves, you’ll be amazed by the amazing rock formations and the local animals. Keep a look out for spiders, reptiles, and bats!
After the cave tour, we’ll return to the island for a well-deserved breather and a delectable lunch (included). What better way to work off the lunch than the next activity, which is kayaking up the Tigre River. There you will see various birds and creatures that call the riverside home.
We will return to the islet and board the bus to return to Panama City.
